📆 Docling Forum Events: Coffee Hour, Writing Group, and More

Here’s what’s coming up in all things Docling:

Click here to learn how to add an event to this calendar

If you would like to add events to this calendar, feel free. Create a post below, and be sure to use the event button to include your event. It should look something like this (type in the name of the event after the timestamp):

[date=2021-02-08 timezone="America/New_York"] Name of event

Screen Shot 2021-02-08 at 3.09.29 PM

And then fill out the form. Your event should show up in the calendar at the top of the post. Once the date of the event has passed, your event post will be automatically removed.

Some ideas for things to add:

  • Conferences (especially online conferences)
  • Calls for papers
  • Your documentation or linguistics or language-related event here…

Hi all, just a heads up that I won’t be at the writing group today. I’ll see you tomorrow at the coding meeting, though! :smiley:

Is writing group happening? Am I confused about timezones? Thanks!

Yes it’s in progress (fessing up that I’m ‘writing’!). We will meet again at 10 till 2 (40 minutes from now), you’re welcome to join us.

Hey guys! Is anyone meeting right now? :slight_smile: Tried to join to meet you all but no one was there?
Cheers!

Sorry for all the confusion! Timezones can be weird >< The Monday group meets 5-7pm GMT (i.e. Greenwich Mean Time) and then the Wednesday group meets from 6-8am GMT ^^ To recap in a different timezone (xD) Monday meets from 12-2pm EST and Wednesday from midnight-2am EST

Hope that helps! And hope you can come to one of the meetings :smiley:

Ah. And I was just thinking – we generally talk for the first 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes of a session. So if you came at like 6pm GMT and no one was there, it’s that we were already working (and sometimes it’s easier to close Gather during the work part of the session and then re-enter for the end of session recap). So, definitely feel free to come late to the session, but stick around until the end of session to actually see people and talk about what you worked on :smiley:
